Registration Info - Divisions of Play
Softball Age Chart PDF
Instructional (Coach Pitch) – Ages 6-8
This division is recommended for players who have completed a year of tee-ball. Coaches pitch to players to safely teach the fundamentals of softball.
Minor (Player Pitch) – Ages 9-11
This more competitive division has players pitching to each other. Emphasis is placed on refining softball fundamentals. This is a travel division with games played at and against other communities. Tournament teams from this level may participate in the District All Stars Tournament leading up to the Little League Softball World Series.
Field Size: 35' pitching distance, 60' diamond
Specifications: 11" softball
Majors Softball – Ages 10-12
Recommended for players with experience in Minor division. Players should possess strong fundamentals. The Major League division is instructional but more competitive. This is a travel division with the potential for tournament play culminating in the Softball World Series.
Field Size: 40' pitching distance, 60' diamond
Specifications: 12" softball
Seniors Softball – Ages 13+
This competitive program prepares athletes for high school softball. Players should demonstrate strong knowledge of the game. This is a travel division eligible for Senior League All Stars and the Softball World Series.
